I would say your wrong about that. Especially your own Bearcats with the big losses they have had to starters the last 2 weeks for off field incidents.

HONAKER Should have beaten HAYSI...but kept turning the ball over.
The BEARCATS have not lost anyone for off the field issues the last 2 weeks! DUDE you gotta get your facts straight! haha
We lost 3 starters after week 2, IT'S WEEK 7 FOR VHS and week 8 for most!
HAYSI has not played anyone except HONAKER and HONAKER should have beaten them plain and simple. I believe if they were to play again HAYSI would lose to HONAKER!
It was 3-0 HAYSI with 2:30 minutes left in that game and HONAKER TURNED IT OVER AGAIN! I would say it was the worst game HOANKER has played all year! THEY (HONAKER) LOST TO RICHLANDS but ALOT HAVE AND WILL LOSE TO RICHLANDS!
FACT HAYSEED OVER RATED and WOULD LOSE TO ALL THE TEAMS RANKED BELOW THEM IN THIS POLL!

I have watched both of them play and Haysi would definitely beat Appy. They have alot more size, speed, and more experience.

I too have seen them both and HAYSEED would lose to APPY...but this is a forum for opinions fellers. I have expressed mine. Not worth argueing over it. haha

I to have seen both teams play and it would be a heck of a game But I think Haysi has to many weapons for Appy to stop and IMHO Haysi would make Appy beat them through the air and I don't know that Appy could do that. in any case I would take Haysi by 7 if this were a game on Tap (In any case this could be a playoff matchup next season when Haysi drops to Div 1

I agree with your assessment that Haysi may be ranked too high considering they are #3 in SWVA in that poll. However, where you get that Honaker should have beaten Haysi is beyond anyone's logical explanation. Anyone who was REALLY at the game and knows anything about football would know this. Haysi had more first downs, more passing yards, more rushing yards and pretty close to tripled Honaker in total yardage output. Honaker's only crossed into Haysi territory on three occasions the entire game and one was on a kick off return. Yes Honaker threw a few int's but what did you want Haysi's players to do move out of the way so it wouldn't be a turnover? Turnovers are part of the game and Haysi had one as well. Honakers QB was inaccurate because of the pressure that was being put on him by Haysi's pass rush. Also Honaker was not penalized even ONE TIME THE ENTIRE GAME. Haysi was penalized numerous times and a few were drive killers. It was my opinion that the game should not have been as close as it was because Haysi played their worst game of the season so far. This is not taking anything away from Honaker though because they are not chopped liver and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they beat Va High tonight. Heck ABINGDON had Va High beat, lol... and Tazewell took them to the woodshed last week. So Va High beat Gate City...good job...does anyone think GC is that much better than Honaker if any at all? I'm not sure GC is better than Clintwood, guess we'll see tonight. Maybe the BearCANTS are another team that is rated too high in that poll [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
I've seen them film (HONAKER @ HAYSI) and know what both teams have.

TAZEWELL, played well.
The game was 7-6 with less then a minute left in the 3rd Quarter and it fell apart due to fumbles. By no means did they take VHS to the wood shed! haha
VHS was inside the Tazewell 10 yardline 3 times and fumbled once, dropped a TD once, and missed a FG the other time.
2 fumbles back to back in the early 4th Quarter allowed Tazewell to blow it open. Part of the game it happens!
The Ole Saying...the score didn't reflect the game.

Abingdon game:
VHS turned it over 3 times in the first half giving Abingdon a short field the whole first half. They had 4 TO's for the game. After halftime Abingdon scored once on a missed tackle on an out route. Outside of that they didn't do anything against VHS.
Turnovers are killing VHS. VHS is very young and stop themselves!

You are right I did not go to the Tazewell/Va High game but its tough to complain about a 3 td loss no matter what the circumstance. All I can say if excuses were cash you would be Bill Gates dude!
